Package 3: 10 Day Do-It-Yourself Transporter Package

This is our do it yourself 10 day hunting package. Travel day, arriving in Holy Cross is a non-hunting day per State of Alaska regulations. The remaining time is designated to hunt, up to day 9 before dark. Departing on day 10 is approximately 10 a.m. You will be provided accommodations in Holy Cross at arrival and departure. Accommodations in Holy Cross are shared. Rooms in Holy Cross accommodate two people. It is possible to get a single room, depending upon the number of Clients we are serving. You will be oriented to the land available for you to choose from and given a map of the location you select. Your package includes transportation services on a boat powered by a motor.

Transportation will include 1 driver and 1 deck hand to transport you to your location of choice where you will be dropped off. You will be provided a communication device to contact transporter for pick up or emergencies. Transporters are required to properly and safely load the meat on the mode of transportation being used by a transporter. You will be picked up and transported back to Holy Cross the night before your departure. This is not just any Do-It-Yourself hunt, we will provide you with fresh water in water containers and we will provide you with trash bags and will pick that up during your stay. You will be responsible for all shelter, gear, food, supplies, game gear, processing of meat, etc. Additional transportation to another location while on your hunt will cost an additional $150.00 for one round trip plus fuel (Only offered in Unit 21E - not it Unit 18). This add on will depend upon availability. *Unit 18 hunts require you to have a SAT phone or location/communication device.

This is a perfect package for an Alaskan resident, nonresidents we will help coordinate how to ship your gear ahead of time. 

Client will be responsible for all shelter, gear, food, supplies, processing of meat, etc. We will provide you water in water containers and trash bags. Hunters also have the option of donating any of their meat they don't want to the village of Holy Cross, but it has to be hung and taken care of upon their arrival of leaving the village on the last day. Please ask for a welcome packet to see the details of what you will need to bring and what we will provide.

*We transport hunters into 2 hunting units for DIY hunts - Unit 21E (private land hunts) and the edge of Unit 18 (on state lands). Unit 21E requires a drawing for Non-Residents. Unit 18 does not. Please see the Alaska State Hunting Regulations for more information.

MOOSE HUNTING RESTRICTIONS & REGULATIONS/UNIT 21E:

AK RESIDENTS: One antlered bull by registration permit available online at http://hunt.alaska.gov; from license vendors in Unit 21E; or ADF&G in McGrath and Fairbanks beginning Aug 12, 2016.

NON-RESIDENTS: Drawing Hunt DM837 - 35 permits issued. Must apply from Nov. 1-Dec. 15th, 2016 online at http://hunt.alaska.gov. Restrictions are: One bull with 50-inch antlers or antlers with 4 or more brow tines on at least one side by permit.

NON-RESIDENT ALIEN: Closed to Big Game hunting unless accompanied by a registered guide.
